Your graft count is decided from photographs and a video call with the surgeon, and it is written into your quote. Nobody changes the number on the morning of surgery.

Procedures
The two techniques
Sapphire FUE
Follicles are taken one at a time from the back and sides of the head, where hair does not thin, and the channels that receive them are opened with sapphire blades rather than steel. The narrower channel means grafts sit closer together and the scalp heals faster. This is the technique behind most large sessions.
DHI with the Choi implanter
With DHI the graft is loaded into a fine pen and placed directly, with no channel opened beforehand. It is slower, so the sessions are smaller, but it gives the surgeon more control over the angle and depth of each hair. That makes it the better choice for the hairline and for adding density among hair you still have.
Techniques
Which option suits you
Sapphire FUE
Grafts are opened with sapphire blades, which makes narrower channels and lets the surgeon place them more densely.
DHI (Choi pen)
Grafts are implanted directly without pre-opened channels. Slower, and better suited to filling among existing hair.
Beard & moustache
The same technique applied to the face, usually 1,000–3,000 grafts depending on the gap being filled.
Women's hair loss
Assessed medically first. Transplantation is only offered when the loss is stable and the donor area can support it.
Your week
How the trip is laid out

Day 1
Arrival, transfer to the hotel, blood tests and the final drawing of the hairline with your surgeon.

Day 2
The procedure, six to eight hours with breaks. You go back to the hotel the same evening.
3
Day 3
First medical wash at the clinic, PRP, and written washing instructions in your language.
4
After
Shedding at week 2 to 4 is expected. Visible growth from month 4, final result at month 12.
