This policy explains what personal data GLOBAL WELL Health Tourism collects through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It covers this website only. It does not cover the hospitals, clinics and doctors we introduce you to, each of which is a separate controller of your medical records and has its own privacy notice.

We are the controller for the data described below. Our website is gwturkey.com.
The consultation request form
When you send a consultation request we ask for your name, the country you live in, your email address, your WhatsApp number, and the treatment you are asking about. The message box invites you to describe your case, and people usually include their age, height and weight, current medication, previous operations and the condition they want treated.
That is health data. Under the GDPR it is a special category of personal data (Article 9) and under Turkish law (KVKK) it is özel nitelikli kişisel veri. We only process it because you deliberately send it to us so that a doctor can assess your case, which is explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a). You do not have to include medical detail to contact us — a short message asking a question is enough, and we will tell you what a doctor needs before you send anything more.
Form submissions are delivered to us by email. This website does not store them in a database.
What we do with it: read it, pass the relevant parts to the specialist who can answer it, and reply to you. We share it with the hospital, doctor or clinic that will treat you, and with nobody else. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we are in contact with you about treatment, and for three years after our last contact so that we can answer follow-up questions and meet our record-keeping obligations. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Contacting us by email, phone or WhatsApp
If you write to us at info@gwturkey.com or message us on WhatsApp, we hold that correspondence on the same basis and for the same period as above. WhatsApp is operated by Meta; the content and metadata of a WhatsApp conversation are processed by Meta under its own terms, which we do not control. If you would rather not use it, email or the form on our contact page work just as well.
Cookies and third-party services on this website
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Language selection (GTranslate / Google Translate). The language menu in the header is not loaded until you interact with it. If you choose German or Arabic, the page text is sent to Google for translation and a cookie named
googtransrecords your choice so the site stays in that language. Choose English again and the cookie is cleared. Machine translation is provided for convenience; the English text is the authoritative version. - Google Fonts. The typefaces used on this site are loaded from Google’s servers, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page loads. We are aware this is contested in some jurisdictions and are reviewing whether to serve the fonts from our own server.
- Hosting. Our host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
- WordPress. Cookies are set only for people who log in to administer the site, not for visitors.
We do not currently run Google Analytics or any other visitor analytics on this site.
Where your data goes
We are established in Türkiye, so data you send us is processed in Türkiye. Türkiye is not covered by a European Commission adequacy decision. When you send us a consultation request from the EEA or the UK, that transfer relies on your explicit consent to the transfer for the purpose of arranging your treatment (GDPR Article 49(1)(a)). If you would prefer not to transfer your data outside the EEA, we will not be able to arrange treatment for you.
Google Translate and Google Fonts are operated by Google, which processes data in the United States and elsewhere under its own safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it. You can withdraw your consent at any time; that stops any further processing but does not undo what was lawful beforehand. You can also ask us to send your data to another provider in a portable format.
Write to info@gwturkey.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA or the UK you may complain to your national data protection authority. If you are in Türkiye you may complain to the Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu (KVKK).
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to the mailbox that receives consultation requests is limited to the coordinators who need it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us documents you would not be comfortable sending by email.
Children
We do not knowingly arrange treatment enquiries from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian. If a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle data — for example if we switch on visitor analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
